Work in progression

Been reminded of Basil Beattie's work lately. Not his recent stuff but work in the mid 90's. Remembering I saw an exhibtion in Sunderland of his about 1996/7. Big vast canvases, thick oil and wax medium. Fields of earthy flat colour and triangular structures set out on the surface.
