The ground in this painting gave me the idea for this work. Encountering the murkiness of the paint left in the turps jar - waste paint particles at the bottom, had a quality like muddy sand, such as on the beach, when left exposed by the receding tide. There's remnents of a once oversized degree show painting in here too, pasted in as part of the collaged approach.
Primary colours/muddiness, cheeriness/doubtful....
