Watching Unirea of Bucharest lose to liverpool on TV reminded me that I saw this Romanians work in london last year. i like the 'noise or interference' on the surface of his paintings, the incidentals and paint manipulation of the figures with the TV/video colours. Some of it was Baconesque. i remember not being impressed by the stretchers though - creases - you don't get that on a jpeg.

John Kiki

Like his schematic use of colour and his use of line.

He is based in East Anglia. Once came across one of his paintings in a backstreet antiques shop. It was taller than me and thick with layers of pscycadelic paint. I asked who painted it and the man said John Kiki who happened to be there. I said I was a fan of his work, was an approachable guy.
Sadly missed his show at the Norwich castle, in 2008.

Wonder if he will show in London?
